Classes & Workshops

Classes and workshops at CHA are an opportunity to nurture your growth, explore the creative impulse and get inspired. We are homebase for leading Zero Balancing teacher, Jim McCormick, and we regularly offer Zero Balancing Training and workshops. We also host the Your Center Pilates Studio, and the Barbara Lyon Yoga Series.

Our instructors are independent, passionate and insightful, drawing from all the expertise in their field in thoughtfuly crafting the unique, experiential classes we offer here. Workshops

Using Zero Balancing principles, this class looks at how we can use words in all aspects of Zero Balancing to deepen the effects of our ZB sessions.

This is the first course in the Core Zero Balancing curriculum. Learn how to distinguish structure from energy through touch along with basic ZB protocol, theories and principles.

Classes

Restorative Yoga is a very gentle form of yoga. In class we use blankets, blocks, bolsters, to support the body in floor poses which generally are held for several minutes.  Restorative yoga can be practiced by almost anyone, from beginner to seasoned practicioner. It can compliment body work and can be used therapeutically to assist in the healing process of many conditions.

Intermediate Yoga is a Kripalu style yoga class for experienced students. Deepen and hone the basics while exploring more challenging poses. This class is part of the Barbara Lyon Yoga Series.

Saturdays 8 - 9 am

Focus on core activation, mobility, stability, and strength.

Get the blood flowing, increase awareness of breath, engage the core and find balance. Practice the Pilates Mat Flow - a series of exercises developed by Joseph Pilates - and focus on abdominal strength as well.
