Eliza Mallouk, LMT, NCTMB

Eliza Mallouk has been helping people feel better for more than 25 years. Eliza combines her skills in Muscular Therapy, The Alexander Technique, Zero Balancing and Self Regulation Therapy into an integrated approach that helps heal the whole person: physically, emotionally and mentally.

A nationally certified massage therapist, certified Zero Balancer and teacher of the Alexander Technique, Eliza was on the faculty of the Muscular Therapy Institute for more than twenty years. She has taught stress management, movement and massage therapy workshops in a variety of settings, including The American Dance Festival, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and Boston University.

Eliza combines hands-on body work with awareness, dialogue, alignment and self-care exercises designed to reduce pain and trauma and enhance positive sensory awareness. This process helps heal the nervous system and develops a sustainable experience of greater health, relaxation, vitality and well being.

Using observation and listening skills, Eliza naturally builds a comfortable and safe healing relationship that supports her clients' progress. Based on her clients' needs and concerns, she designs personalized treatment plans that create positive change and help her clients meet their long term goals.

"People come to my practice with a variety of issues, including long standing neck and back pain, headaches, insomnia, poor posture, muscle stiffness, fibromyalgia, arthritis, loss of flexibility, anxiety, depression, pain related to physical or emotional trauma as well as generalized stress. When people experience physical and emotional discomfort, their nervous systems are usually highly stressed and over activated. The techniques that I use in my private practice work specifically to calm and heal the nervous system and educate my clients so that symptoms do not recur."

Eliza's clients describe her work saying:

"I was feeling hopeless and increasingly limited - I'd been in pain for a long time. Eliza calmed me down. She showed me that there were many choices I could make and helped me to see that while my body might take a while to heal, I COULD heal and I could learn a lot in the process."

"I didn't know I could feel so good after only two sessions."

"I didn't know I could establish a relationship with my body that wasn't focused on pain"

"I learned about posture, about how to use my body with ease which helped eliminate my pain, reduced my stress, and freed up energy that helps me handle and enjoy more."
