Marilyn Yohe, Lic.Ac., MAOM, is a licensed and national board certified acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. She holds a Master's degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture in Watertown, MA. Marilyn has additional training in the Dr. Tan Balance Method; Dr. Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture for neurological and pain conditions; and in treating infertility and working with pregnant and breastfeeding women. She has interned at several Boston-area clinics, including Pathways to Wellness/AIDS Care Project and the Dimock Community Health Center.

In addition to her private practice, Marilyn is on the faculty of the New England School of Acupuncture. She also volunteers with the Veterans' Community Acupuncture Program (VCAP), where she helps run a free acupuncture clinic for veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Marilyn is passionate about helping people improve their quality of life by overcoming the medical and health problems that get in their way. She believes that the human body has an innate and amazing ability to heal, and that acupuncture, herbal medicine, and supportive lifestyle choices can help jump-start and support this natural process. She specializes in conditions that have not responded well to Western medical treatment, including IBS and other digestive disorders, migraines, musculoskeletal problems, anxiety and depression, women's health concerns, infertility, and skin conditions.

Marilyn places a strong emphasis on understanding health as a unique balance between the body, mind, habits, and environment. She encourages people to support their own health and well-being through informed choices about food, exercise, relaxation, and other life circumstances. She brings an extensive background in education and counseling to her practice, including experience as a self-defense instructor, domestic violence advocate, and outdoor adventure facilitator. Marilyn's work is also informed by her practice of insight meditation and yoga, and she strives to bring this appreciation of clarity, mindfulness, and acceptance to her work with others.
